CDA commissions the tarmacking of the Mjanaheri-Ngomeni Road.

The Coastal Development Authority (CDA) has officially handed over the site for the tarmacking of the 12 km Mjanaheri-Ngomeni road project to the contractor. The work will commence from the 0 km Mjanaheri junction and extend to the Ngomeni sea front, reaching the B.M.U offices.

CDA had earlier convened a meeting at the Gongoni Social Hall with relevant stakeholders. This collaborative effort aimed to ensure a smooth start to the roadworks. The project, funded by the Italian Government through the Malindi Integrated Social Health Development Programme (MISHDP), promises to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in the region.

During the site handover ceremony, CDA Chairman Mzee Mwinyi Mzee emphasized the importance of community support for the project. He highlighted that once completed, the road will facilitate easier movement and drive economic growth in Ngomeni. The event was attended by notable figures including former Magarini MP Harrison Garama Kombe, local leaders, CDA management, representatives from Kilifi County, and the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).

This initiative marks a significant step towards improving regional infrastructure and fostering development in the area.
