CDA was recognized for its interventions in the Blue Economy sector that aim at Building climate change resilience and adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities (youth & women) through restoration of coral reef habitats and GIS mapping/tracking in Wasini CCA.
The Authority exhibited the innovation entitled “Youth Empowerment Through Coral Reef Restoration and GIS Mapping/Tracking Programme” and emerged in:
- 2019 Continental Africa Public Service Day Award as the “Best Youth Empowerment Programme”
- 2019 National Africa Public Service Day Award as the “Best Promising Innovation”
